    Boys...
First proper motor weekend of the year.

Saturday: Saywell Charity Event at Goodwood. This man has such a nice collection of cars. Was really good despite the weather. First Murcielago SV without wing and am fairly impressed.

Sunday: Chris Evans Supercar Sunday at the Mulberry. I attended last year and was suprised how many more people turned up. Bugatti was a bonus. The same Autofficina Enzo with Rosso Diffusers (Sounded so raw). Several 430's a Zonda all in the sun. Brilliant.

BTW check out my other pictures I have quite a portofolio now.

    Thankyou :)

Nice pics. I'd forgotton all about the Mulberry meet, and gave the Saywell day a miss due to the weather.

Ahhh sorry I should of said MY first car weekend :)

Unfortunately I couldnt attend the Breakfast club :( but I usually do. Looks like a good turnout considering it was the first one! March has applied for the BReakfast club to be on for the whole day for a certain number of sundays a year. What do you guys make of that?

According to Octane there were 750 themed cars there (which I can believe). A whole day event would make sense (partly so people can make it from further afield).

Personally I think they need to make it a bit more organised before making it a full day event.

I know it's a bit off complaining about a free event, and in general I think they're great events, but the bits that don't work would be exasperated by going to a full day.

I would agree with that, but maybe spreading out over a longer period will mean less congestion, both in parking and for food.

I'm usually there early, so I'm parked and fed before those queues really start. Getting out of the car park can occasionally be a pain with a constant stream coming in, though.

My main gripe would be that as it's an informal meet people just turn up as they wish (which is fair enough when they're providing the entertainment), almost like a rolling show. I think having an all day event would stretch that out, so there would only be a few themed cars there at anyone time (or they'd all be gone by lunch time) and/or the main straight would be a mixture of the random average-to-nice cars. If I knew there would be a grid of 20 or so decent themed cars that would be parked there for the duration and I could turn up at anytime during the day then it might be better, but then that requires a huge commitment from the owners.

Or maybe I'm just spoilt. I see handfuls of 911s in the station car park, so seeing them parked up at Goodwood doesn't really interest me. I'd have gone to see the 250 SWB and Muira alone at the last event.

Edit to say; that all sounds slightly aloof, which wasn't my intention.

CS isn't VAT registered, but I think you'd be quite justified in sending an invoice to the person in question. :)

(how many did I miss out by?) ;)

True, but I have moral standards way above several others, and they can not be compromised. Those who have sinned shall reap what they have sown. :)
