Simona has been around for awhile. She is the real deal. So is Ana and a few others. Most of these women have been schooled in Europe and or South America and started in karting, achieving some successes allowing them to rise on up the ladder. Alan is a terrific driver who has done something with nothing for a long time, but Simona de Silvestro (who won Atlantics at Long Beach) won in the Eddie Wachs/Paul Newman team car, which has never won a race in that series before and even the first US A1GP driver winner, Jonathan Summerton, only came in fourth.

Racing is a gender neutral sport. I know, I've been beaten by many of the best women out there!
