Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Had the pleasure of driving this yesterday! I had spent some time in 458 and 488, but this was my first drive in an f8. It not only didn’t disappoint, it felt like a natural progression from the predecessors. The best part visually was looking in the rear view mirror and seeing that louvered engine cover and the intakes.
The soundtrack in race mode wasn’t quite as throaty as I would have expected but still sounded great. The headliner and sun visors in the car I was in felt very cheap, but I’m just pointing out little details.
The way this car pulled in an gear and at any point in the rev range made it really feel like an f1. Need to drive this on a track.
    Unbelievable car.

Thanks, it’s the one I wear most often lately. The Rolex prices have really gotten silly.

like F8s Rolexes are in short supply. The US dealers have virtually no inventory.

Still..its a super crazy dynamic / bubble I am thankful that years ago I bought one of my dream watches, a SS, white face Daytona paid $10K retail and waited a year for it same watch today I think is $30K Then last year, I was "contemplating" possibly being crazy and getting the platinum Daytona it was something around $65K, which of course was / is absurd I see those now selling for $150K what the heck I know these are desirable watches, and I understand S&D, but that is just bonkers!

Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread.....keep us posted on the F8 purchase!~

I’m not sure I would go that far. There are literally tens of thousands of each new Rolex model and they making more everyday. The “shortage” is really a smoke and mirrors game. There is no shortage...they are going out the back door to grey dealers who are selling for crazy prices and kicking money back to the dealer.
There are more than enough Rolex to go around, and the crazy secondary prices can’t last in my opinion. I’m glad I bought a handful of models I like below retail because I have no interest in paying the crazy prices.

While this is not a watch forum…..
I’m sorry sir but you are incorrect. I recently actually met the person in charge of Rolex North America and discussed this very issue. Also, my authorized dealer who is a very large dealer has not had adequate supply for over a year. The waiting lists for various models is dozens of people long. Rolex in general is well behind in production.

there are long wait lists because they are selling them to grey dealers instead of customers, so they never make it into the case. You can buy as many new Daytona’s and Pepsi’s as you want, brand new in box, if you are willing to pay the grey market premium. Do a quick search, davidsw, all of these guys have plenty.
Rolex makes 800,000 watches per year....no shortage.
    Let’s get back to cars!

Yes the visors and the headliner is cheap. Just cant believe that Ferrari does it this way and the number of people that miss it , or are not told by the rep but spend 1000's on other items. Tick leather or alcantara. Looks magnificent especially with the contrast stitching. BTW dont know if like the 488 GTB the standard mirror is the same as the F8 . Looks like something pulled of an 86 Toyota. Get monochromatic.

You guys are more informed than Rolex execs and every authorized Rolex dealer I’ve been to in the country. I have been buying rolexes for years and have over 10 rolexes in my collection. I have never bought from the “grey” market. I have never seen retail stores with such low inventory. I guess little do I know my very good friends in the stores would rather sell to gangsters than a good long time customer. Hmmmm…. Very nefarious indeed
