Does anyone have pics/info on the first US F40?
First F50 in the US was bought by Mike Tyson.. for $850,000 (I think?!). As for the F40, no clue. hehe
The first and only F50 "bought" new in the US was the serial number 3 car. The rest of the American customers had to first lease their F50 before they had a chance to purchase the car. The F40 model was sold to the owner. The first one arrived about July 1990. ch
The first F50 in the USA was delivered to Ralph Lauren if I´m not mistaken. Mentioned in the 95 Ferrari yearbook.
A few years ago I was at a Ferrari Challenge event at Lime Rock Park and noticed this yellow F40. I went over to speak to the man handling the car since I didn't think Ferrari made the F40 in yellow, he told me that they had the car painted and the car was originally red, the other bit of information that he gave me was that this was the first F40 brought to the US. I guess you could contact someone at Lake Forest Sportscars for more information on this car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I remember seeing a photo of a US Spec car, before any were delivered here. It had some sort of red/black plaid seats. Can anyone confirm that?
ROTFLMAO! SkizoAce trapped in the Fchat filter like a big moth in a spiderweb.. Struggling.........struggling to get out.............be still man, the spider's coming.. I thought the first F40 was Paul Frame's...but I may be wrong..he had an F50 as well before losing both to business misfortune (SEITEL). F40 paint jobs were typical Ferrari quality, you can see in Inside Ferrari them touching up bad spots with a spray can during final make ready..... LOTS of folks can improve on a Factory paint job...Juniors House of Color comes to mind. What's wrong Skizo? Bad day? Drop over to the north side of the bayou sometime, life's a little calmer over here by the tracks... *throwing log into barrel fire*
There's another photo I've seen with a big row of them lined up at the factory, outside in the weather, awaiting delinquent headlight assemblies, from a vendor........
