I have already posted a picture in the showroom and detailing section, but thought I'll introduce myself as a first time Ferrari and Boxer owner here. I've had the car for about 5 months and have been driving it at least once a week. Considering that it is in the middle of summer over here in Australia (temp ranging from 34 deg C to 40 deg C , 93 deg F to 104 deg F) and the primitive ac in the car, one can tell how much I really enjoy driving it.

I bought this car sight unseen (althought I had arranged for a PPI to be done) without having ever driven one before. Well, the car was everything I expected and more. Every drive is an event that leaves me exhausted, but what a car!

Some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

    Cheers
    Mark

Your car looks fantastic, Enjoy it. I also just got one in Black, but it is a US BBi. Want to get rid of the big side makers on the front fenders and go to little dots like Euro(original).

Great car, congrats, I am sure you will love it.

I too started with a boxer, never saw the need/reason to m ove on from there. The moderns dont have thta sense of occasion and excitement, and the oldies cost millions for the same experience with lesser handling.

the boxer is just that perfect fusions between handlimng which works with moderns and classic ferrari experience.

Boxerman is right. The Boxer is a great car with more character than any Ferrari new or old. Drive it an enjoy it - they don't belong in a museum. Wish I still had mine.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! I am so glad I decided on the boxer instead of a modern Ferrari (430). Her ability to keep up with the moderns and the smooth power delivery are indeed pleasant surprises. The acceleration is so smooth and doesn't really feel that fast until you glance at the speedo. Never driven a 12 cylinder before, but now I know what I've been missing all along.

Looking forward to all the miles that I'll be doing in the boxer in 2014, the year of the Horse!!

    Cheers

Thanks everyone. Serial no. is 24641.

Reason why I chose the Boxer instead of a modern F car? She has always been a dream car of mine since I was a kid. I remember playing with a Tomy diecast toycar of the Boxer when I was little (I found and purchased one again on Ebay a few weeks ago. Thinking of getting another one for my 2 yr old son to start him off on the right track :) ). They are quite rare here in Australia and when I heard that this one was for sale, I jumped straight in. I do not think I would feel as passionate about a modern F car, although they are fantastic cars too.

Interior and engine shots to come when I take her out for a drive tomorrow. Can't wait!

Welcome to F-Chat, and well done. What a way to live.

As I was looking at your beautiful can in the photo, I just realized that I was dreaming about owning a boxer last night. It was the windshield wiper that reminded me.

So thanks. I wonder what I'll dream tonight.

I'm glad to hear that you are already enjoying her on the open roads. :)
