Like SpeedySam i have also been motivated to have a go with a model because of the wonderful work i have seen displayed on this forum. I went for a very original choice - Tamiya Enzo in 1/24 :)

I thoroughly enjoyed building it and found it an excellent way to de-stress. I tore off the carbon fibre in a rage but seem to be getting on better with it on the new model i am building. Everything else seemed very straightforward but as you will see i made a few mistakes. I also went for red calipers because i wanted to.

Sorry about the pics, they are not the best.

Enzo Rob: Very nice work, all the more impressive because the Tamiya 1/24 Enzo isn't an easy kit...I have an unbuilt one and have looked through the box contents and instructions...it's a challenge for sure.

Good job. That is a pretty complex plastic kit, but thats half the fun!

Thanks for all the nice compliments!

Go for it Austin i really enjoyed it, things are not going very well for me at work at the moment (nothing i can control) and it is a really great way to forget about a few things and de-stress. It was a bit annoying when certain bits didnt go my way but i suppose that is part of the fun along with finding a solution. I could do a little bit if i had 10 mins spare or spend a whole day on it. I am already on another 2 and i want to get in to larger scale F1 cars.

I have to say this is impressive for a very first build. Keep building them. It only gets better. Thrust me. Can't wait to see your next build.

By the way I believe that Tamiyas F40 is much harder to get a great result from. It just isn't that well engineered.

Thanks. I will post pics of my F2007 and GTO when they are finished. They are both revell and are not as nice to build i find so may take me a bit longer. I had to paint the F1 car in 'old' red as the only way for me to paint it in the new colour would mean brushing it and i would rather practice my skills at the moment than try to build a perfect scale model. I still hate carbon fibre decals but seem to be getting on ok with the others :)
