So one thing I noticed on my long drive home is that the upper dash panel is fairly reflective with the stock fabric. It's not terrible, but I thought it could be a worry at the track. I was able to track down a used one and get a decent price on it from a car that was crashed on ebay. P/N 80760500.

Install is fairly straight forward - there are 2 hex bolts in the bottom of the panel, and two tension clips towards the front of the windshield. Remove bolts, pull off panel. The only issue I would say is that the angle of the bolts is awkward. Make sure you have the hex bit/key seated before you turn or you could round them!

Old one is for sale if someone would like it? Just shoot me a PM. Else I will likely keep it to use as a match for the fabric in any future projects : )

I very much prefer the tech fabric...it doesn't fade over time like the alcantara under heat and light. I've also seen cars w seats that have just completely greyed over from all the butt rubbing and they no longer match the dash.

I like the look of the tech fabric just fine, although the Ferrari finishing on the A-pillars leaves something to be desired - exposed folds near the joints to the roof.

It was purely the reflection off the windshield in intense sunlight that made me switch.

I like the Alcantara as it looks more elegant and functional than the cloth. Reminds me a bit of the old days when Dino's and Daytona dashes were wrapped in Mouse Hair. As easy as it was to do it certainly can be redone if the issue of fade should occur.

Do you know if it is possible to get hold of the seat center mech fabric on the scud. It is very easy to get stuck and rip it...

Not sure. I'll tell you though, I saw the exact same fabric, or extremely close, in a Chevy Equinox last night. It must be a standard fabric that can be ordered.

The entire seat cover can be replaced, but not sure on price:
