Are they already producing and delivering them? And this does look like the USA version b/c of the turn signal.
I love the way this car looks in any color, but Alfa needs to put the new cars on a diet!!! Even the new Brera and Spider have more weight than an old 164!! Tom Tanner/SD
TeamF1Jr, I remember hearing that you are in line to get one, is that still true? and if so have they asked you to spec it yet?
Those wheels may not be shipped with the car. The top pic looks like it is coming right off the production line... You can see another one being prepped in the background. They may be used the QP wheels just to transport the car around before prepping with final parts etc.
Myself along with a couple other guys I know that put in for it haven't heard anything. My gut tells me, we weren't chosen. Supposedly the color count of how many they're producing of the 4 finishes has already been published, so I can only guess the lucky few have been choosen and have already put their orders in. I've tried a few sources to get confirmation whether I'm officially in or out, but answers are not easy to come by. In this game we all know that they're going to select their best customers, so I never assumed it was a done deal, but I'd be one happy owner for sure. Hopefully I can pull some info out of the execs at the Detroit Auto Show next week so I can either look forward or put it to rest.
Indeed the pics are taken at ITCA Produzione Spa in Grugliasco who make the chassis for the car alongside the usual Ferraris. In the background they're fitting the carbon body components delivered from ATR.
All the 500 cars have been assigned, although there'll surely be some in the market directly "second-hand".
I have been told repeatedly by Maserati/Alfa North America that the US cars have not been assigned yet. However, I am not sure I believe them...
