Should I ever be a Dino owner, I suppose this post will immortalize my transition from a 3X8 owner. I can remember seeing two Dinos parked in public in my lifetime. One was in a parking lot in Hatboro, PA, in the mid-1980's. A yellow Dino was just sitting there in the public parking lot of the modest main street of the modest little town. It was absolutely arresting in vibrant giallo. The second one I spotted in the late 1990's, parallel parked on the main street of Haddonfield, NJ. This one was a deep, dark blue. I've determined that if I ever sell my 328, it will be to move to a 246. I've ordered "The Book" - the Dino Compendium, to feed my newfound addiction. We'll see!
Years ago, as a young kid I watched the Persuaders, and the Dino was "mine", due to the Danish taxes it was out of reach,,30.000 usd in 1973,,I wanted one..finally after waiting 40 years,,it is in the garage,, 246 GTS..,, and as my daughter say "can I take it to school, it is just an old car dad" bless her ignorance.
Great story! How could I forget about THE PERSUADERS as well? It was in reruns when I was in high school, and I used to record the series on VHS...
