My first post on ferrarichat.com - and I don't even own a Ferrari! Thanks to LetsJet for the invite to participate. I'm a long time car enthusiast, dating back to the late 60s/early 70s when I had my first car - a 1996 Mustang convertible. By the time I sold it in 1974, it was tricked out with high compression, Crane cam, Edelbrock, Holley, Hooker, Hurst, etc. I have always enjoyed watching motor racing and appreciate fine cars (most of which I will never have the resources to own). Today, I drive a 4.7 liter '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a few mods, and I still enjoy swinging the wrench. My forum name "CanonShooter" indicates my favorite brand of camera, which is strictly digital capture these days. I also own and operate a popular nature photography site, www.naturephotographers.net . If anyone is interested in nature photography, I invite you to stop by and visit. Hopefully (due to the lack of a car with a Prancing Pony emblem on it), I will have something of value to contribute to this forum. TIA for allowing me to participate!
Hey Canon glad you made it. My SN is the same over here. There are a lot of photogs on Fchat. A new one just joined last week, I think. I'll try and post a link to his thread. He's pretty good. Welcome.

The Ferrari Tri state forum/guys are a great bunch too. Canon user here also went from a F1-N to a 10D. Hopefully there will be a 1D somewhere in my future. I am a great fan of F-cars but do not own one as of yet. I was a newbie on this board about a year ago and have found many friends here. I hope your time here will yield the same. Not now...............Short ver. Just got some real **** heads who instead of talking Jeeps have called me a liar re: Fcar. The guy just wouldn't back down so I put a wager on it and he can't seem to rub two nickels together........ There are no mods (gd mods), so it's a bit lonely. Anyway, I'm not crashing this guys thread so I'll post another thread if it gets to that. Thnks for asking...
prolly ppl there do not believe he has a ferrari. it happens all the time on all forums, where someone claims to have something much nicer some other ppl won't believe it without proof. u can be the guy on Honda board with a M3 they wont believe you. you can be the guy on BMW board with a Ferrari they wont believe you. best way to avoid shiet is: do not mention your other/nicer toy. why would ferrari be in subject on a jeep forum where ppl talking jeep, right?

If so, that will be easy to remember as my 24 year old son is named Eric. So how many here work on their own Ferraris? I would hate to make a living as an auto mechanic, but I very much enjoy it as a hobby.

I can't make OBI this weekend, but I'll be happy to join the group the following weekend. Oh, maybe it's just me. But has anyone else noticed Bailey's NSX pictures *always* come out nicer than his Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo pictures? Bias? Hmmmmm.
I'm going to try to make OBI this Sunday too. I've been so busy I haven't driven much. I met a guy at the ROE a few weeks back who told me about another informal meet that occurs in Wading River in the King Kullen parking lot on THursday evenings. He said there are usually a few ferraris there too. I may go check that out tonight too.
