Agreed, although I find that it looks a bit too similar to the 3-series.

One thing I've learned with modern BMW's, however, is to never judge them until seen in real life.

What is with those hideous rims? What has bmw done to good looking rims. They look as bad as some of those rovers and escalades with 22's on them.

my first car was an E30 325, great car. I'd love to have an E30 as a track day car.

The exterior looks great to me. I think BMW should do something about the interior already though, never liked it.

    And no 535d this time?

This brings some hope to the future of BMW...but they still aren't where they need to be IMO. They'll sell a ton though.

The E39 5-series and E53 X5 were also gorgeous, but things have gone downhill. On the contrary, I like the X6, 5-series GT, and Z4, but those are by no means "core products" and it's sad the direction that the core models have gone.

By the way, this is one of the strangest-looking people I've ever seen. Is she made of plastic?!?!

Huge improvement, although nowhere near the bar set by the E39.

I never understood peoples' fascination with the E39. The M5 was a looker, as was the 540i with the M-package, but you're seriously trying to tell me that this car looks nice?

    Just my opinion.

    I agree, a friend's mom has a silver 525 (or 528) with crap rims, I don't see the appeal.

    Thank you!

The current 5 is so much better looking than the dated looking E39.

The same can be said of the E38 7. People talk about that car like it was a pinnacle of automotive design. IMO it looked dated even when they were the current generation, and it hasn't gotten better with age.
