first Saturday meeting?

This saturday is great for me. I've done all the honey do's and I'm free! I think? Hey Darell, I know a place! Ian you still up for Lhad Nha? Must bring murcie tho!

How about meeting up at my place, early for lunch, let say 11. Its not very busy at all early in the day and the parking is good. Lunch will be on me. Unless you guys want to meet earlier go for a quick wichita drive and go "tunnel hunting" or anyone drive on mclean along the river then have lunch.

Looks like today is going to be a good day, all the roads are newly washed! Darell, I know you've mentioned, next saturday, are you free today? I think Jon is free and so is Brian. Anyone else free this saturday, if not we could still meet next saturday, the first saturday of the month if its okay with everyone. Will pm Ian if he's free. Scott

Its always great to have car crazy friends to car chat, as my wife puts it, and good food to go along with it! I really think she's just relieved I've got someone else to "car talk" other than herself! Looking forward to the next meeting. Brian, now you've got me thinking alot about comparos and storylines! I'll try and come up with good ones! Maybe one of our meetings could be a "working" meeting at your upcomming shop! If you need help, count me in. What better place to have these meetings, than in a shop with fun cars all around! I will surely meet up with you guys at crescent one of these days.

 

Just so you know, I HATE ANYONE WITH A RUNNING VEHICLE!!!!! (I may have a block defect; Arrow Racing will soon have the engine and I'll know more.) I would have tried to make it to the "lunch part" of the meeting today, but I got tied up on some other things. I'll be back in action before too long......

Guys, I hope you don't mind some free advice....

We have Saturday meetings on the first Saturday of every month here in Kansas City. We have been doing this for about 8 years and it has been a huge success. We routinely have over twenty cars attend.

We have our meetings at 8:30AM at the Sheraton Hotel. We have found a breakfast meeting is the best attended. Lunch meetings carve out a big hole in the middle of the day and tend to conflict with family and home projects and have not been well attended here in kc. (kids ball games kill attendance!)

The other advice I might offer is making the meeting place the same location every month so everyone always knows where to meet without having to be informed every month.

Just watched several episodes of 101 Cars You Must Drive.....we can certainly shoot a pilot espisode that is much better. I especially liked when they test the NSX and stated that it had a 2.0 liter that was then bumped up to 3.0 later....the least they could do is have correct info.

Family vacation fellas...flying with a 2 year old and an 8 month old will be guaranteed fun at 9pm

 

I'm slotted for Kansas City, but if something should happen to fall through, I'm there!! FYI, if the Good Egg is really busy there is also a Hilton Garden in that does a good breakfast buffet right there (Just didn't want you guys to starve). Sounds like I'm definitely missing out. Wanted to see that 360 BAD!!

 

Who has the 360? Brian did you get more toys and not tell us?

 

Parking across the street to the north into the bradley fair business area is'nt too bad.

 

Its a friend of mine, who is also in line for 599 / california. Really nice guy who's just a car nut.

 

He doesn't own an ethanol company on webb perhaps does he?

 

The ceo of poet has a 430, 612, bentley gt etc. Not the same guy.
