Hi, I've been following the forum for several years now and finally came across a deal I just couldn't resist. Red and tan 05 Berlinetta exactly the specs I would have hope for. Flew out and drove the car home a blissful 1300 miles last week.

Was previously enjoyed 36k miles and hit 38k by the time it reached my garage. A few things could use a little tlc but overall seems like a great car. Figure I've got plenty of time til spring to give the whole thing a good once over though. Motor mounts are first on the list which I ordered up this morning.

Trying to search the forum as much as possible but pretty sure I'll have a few questions.

Thanks everyone! Was taking it easy on the drive home but got a little more spirited once I made it back. I still love my Viper and 996 turbo but this one is definately a different animal all its own.

Looks good. I could still remember my first ferrari, it was an 07 F430 red/tan. Ive had another 3 since then. Try to see the doctor when you get the Ferrari BUG. Its an expensive disease.

Thanks! Was a rather rushed trip back due to timing and questionable weather this time of year in MN, but was grinning the whole way back none the less. :)

You took your ferrari out in the snow???? Dont you know all Ferrari melt in the rain and explode in the snow?

Congrats, enjoy her - on the roads - not in a garage

Ha, wasn't on purpose but I did get caught by some snow getting home. Not sure about how cushy it's previous life was, but in my first 3 days of ownership it saw 1500 miles, fog, rain, and snow. Seemed to hold up just fine, however I did end up replacing the wiper blades once I got back as the existing ones had passed their service life. No plans to run her in the winter, have the awd 996 turbo for that, but she will be getting as much use as possible the rest of the year. :)

Make sure you wash her well, underbody etc... to get as much salt off her. They hate it more than their german cousins.

Certainly did! It actually wasn't very salty but it still got a good washing top to bottom including the wheel wells and suspension. Currently up on the lift waiting for the weekend to give it a further wax and detailing, and start making a list of anything that looks to need updating starting with those worn motor mounts.
