    Hi,

I've now owned my Testarossa for a full year and continue to love it more each day :)

When I bought it from a Ferrari Specialist in the UK 12 months ago, they carried out a full service, including the cambelts and a new clutch.

I'm now bringing it to a Ferrari Specialist in Ireland (where I live), to carry out their first service on the car.

Considering the cambelt and full service was done 12 months ago, what should I expect to get done in this service?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    How many miles?

Any track time or other hard use scenarios?
Short trips without FULLY heating up all fluids?

Under what conditions do you store the car? Moist floors? Humidity? Broad swings in temp?

In my use/ storage conditions an annual engine oil/filter is adequate. A bi-annual brake fluid change and a tri-annual coolant and gearbox oil change works well. Then change the belts every 6 or 7 years. YMMV

Just do an oil change, if the battery is old I would replace it. If light use I would do gearbox oil and brake fluid every other year. As per my mechanic. Check age of tires too, if older than 7 years replace.

After one year and no excessive millage done and if no symptoms of defects; Visually check all fluids and drive it happily for one more year. I would argue that modern oils and cooling fluids have a much longer life span than one year. There is a saying, if it works don't fix it. Excessive wrenching is a damaging as too little in my opinion.

    Best, Peter

    I should have asked:
How many miles driven per year?

Even with modern oils, I still change at 3k miles on my daily drivers. The tr never sees 3k per year.

That was the first thing I bought was new tires and a new battery.. I drove the car for a year and then did the major and exhaust.
