Fundamental to the realm of new U.S. Ferrari prices, is the 599 GTO at $.5million the only Ferrari to way exceed $300,000 since the 2002 - 2004 Enzo ($659,000)?

Not counting one-offs like the 550 GTZ, P4/5. Thank you.

I don't really know the answer to your question, just chiming in to say that the 550 GTZ was not a one-off, they produced 5 of them. Saw one in Scottsdale a while back, quite an interesting car.

Cliff- The SA Aperta, a 599 Spider with a GTO engine, and claimed production of 80, was up there, too. There were also 6 575M GTZs built, but no idea on price.

    1987-1992 F40 $400,000 (1,315 produced)
    (2 years)
    1995-1997 F50 $555,000 (380 produced)
    (4 years)
    2002-2004 Enzo $659,000 (400 produced)
    (5 years)
    2010-2011 599 GTO $550,000 (599 produced)

Since the F-40, was Ferrari's strategy on selling extreme bodies during the 2nd half of the 2000's decade to not sell them at all? Quite a void considering the demand.

My guess is it's hard to make money with the extreme body cars even at 600k each.

I am not sure the MSRP of the GTO was above $500k.

Closer to $450k, per a conversation I had with my dealer a couple weeks ago.

Terry, Ferrari did not produce the 575GTZ, so Ferrari did not set the price bracket. Several Apertas were spec'd above 600K.

Several of these numbers are wrong, there were well over 400 Enzos produced, closer to 500 in fact. The 599GTO was in production into 2012, and had a base price of under 450K addtionally there were over 700 produced. If you are asking if the only Ferrari since the Enzo that exceeded 300k was the 599GTO, the answer is no, there were many 575SAs spec'd over 300K.

And you know that your numbers are correct - how? What are your sources? Because it doesn't appear to be inside info as an owner, so I'm really curious

I have a couple sources within Ferrari, and several sources here in the US,for example, my friend happens to own a Ferrari dealership here. Additionally there are a number of serial number collectors that have given me a lot of information. The only people with absolutely definite numbers (example '784') would be Ferrari themselves, but I'm confident in my numbers.

My 2012 pricelist says base $236,182, that's supposed to be the OTR MSRP. Not sure if you're being serious about your question but that car looks to have a lot of expensive extras, so no wonder it's more expensive than the base msrp.

I agree Jeff, this thread is so confusing....
