I believe the whole MS thing was a big smokescreen designed to create some positive publicity for the miserable 2009 team. MS had nothing to gain and everything to lose, by stepping into a car without the benefit of preparation for the whole season.

F1 racing is probably one of the most physically demanding things in the world of sports and no matter how superb an instinctive driver MS is, his past success came from his absolute dedication to being in the best physical shape to contend during a regular season.
He simply would have failed to deliver a meaningful performance relative to expectations and his reputation and legacy would have been damaged. I'm pleased it never happened.

Fisi on the other hand is a current driver, talented and dedicated, and he managed to put the worst car in the field on pole last week. He deserves the Ferrari ride.

Yes and no I see where your coming from and it does make sense, although I do tend to agree about MS, as I said from the onset about him, Ferrari/MS would always have a get out with his neck thing, IMO he really did have pain when he drove a F1 car so it was more about the heart ruling the head. When he rediscovered what the body goes through when driving these beasts, he changed his mind in pain.

Force India well the car matters, clearly they have made some big advances in the wind tunnel ect, so no it was not the worst car in SPA, in fact I have read there is more to come from them in development.

Overall though you could argue that F1 got a boost in the arm from the speculation so not a bad thing, I agree it was best he didn't race although I'm not quite as convinced as yourself as to your reasons why! smokescreen..not sure about that...dedication to being in the best physical shape ..yes agreed.

Great post. I think the worst car is definitely not Force India at the moment. They have been making steady progress, just a bit unlucky sometimes.

Great post, you are right, id love to see schumacher return but if he doesnt do well it wouldnt scar his career because he has already done so much to outweigh any sort of failure, but he has nothing to gain but abit to lose, itd be good to see Fisi in the ferrari :)
