It's well-known that Schedoni creates fitted-luggage for Ferraris. Did they ever manufacture lines for Lamborghini? Specifically for Miuras? Kevfla
I belive Schedoni started manufacturing multi-piece luggage for the Diablo onwards. The Miura & Countach did not have factory-supplied luggage as an option, although some privateers no doubt created their own thing.
As Joe said; no factory luggage for miuras for countach probably something was done by dealers and MAY BE factory Diablo on they started making luggage sets
Definitely no factory luggage for Countach, and I know this as I had a Countach Downdraft in the 80s when the Countach was still being made. That said, the 25th Anniversario brochure showed a 25th with Schedoni luggage in the trunk, but it was not Lamborghini-specific luggage, simply Schedoni luggage that anyone could buy. this is the reason i told may be factory and the fact these pics were not only in the brochure but also in other late 89-90 factory books etc. i think the factory was somewhat "involved" with this luggage set the other question is: how many of these were made? P.S. i also know some dealers had luggage sets made (pics on old ILOC magazines, etc...)
I don't think the factory had any involvement besides buying a set for the publicity images, I feel sure these did not have Lamborghini logos as they were not specially commissioned by Lamborghini. Schedoni notes that it started work for Lamborghini with the advent of the Diablo in 1991.
could be but i would not be so sure about Schedoni notes: i asked them few years ago about diablo luggage set and they answered "we never made luggage for diablos" while we know they did more than one model
I've personally never seen in real a set of custom Miura luggage (factory or not) . But what about this Factory documents (1970 Price List) and these pictures of Miura #4946's suitcases reproductions : (photos of #4946 are from RM-Sotheby's website, announcing Miura #4946 in their next Arizona auction sale - 19-20 january 2017) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow, that is awesome to see, thanks for sharing. Surely a one-off type request, and the factory of course would accommodate anything. I bet the cost of that blue luggage set was the basis of the cost on the price-list, but likely in those days, there were no takers. "Luggage? I have my own luggage, thank you!" As with with you, I have never encountered Miura luggage, ever, not once in looking at the cars for @ 30 years.
