If its a Navman I believe they have an add-on pice of software which has all the camera's and their locations and you can buy updates

Yeah...it is iCN510. Thanks, I'll look into that. I found out how to add some manually, but it's a terrible pain!

I thought that this maybe of interest to some of you.

Apparently in Victoria, and unbenown to many including police officers, under the Imperial Acts Application Act 1980 it is illegal for a police officer, speed camera, parking officers etc to issue you with a fine prior to conviction by a court. Refer point No 12 on page 43 of the act.

My understanding is that a summary offence, as opposed to an on the spot fine, is the only way that a penalty can be legally implemented.

Are there any legal eagles on the board who can comment on this?

For your information the Act was purchased from the victorian government book shop for circa $15.00 posted.

interesting...I wonder if this is the case in other states ?

I've been in many a court case contesting all sorts of issues in relation to radar guns, cameras, etc...never won but delayed the inevitable for many months and devalued the fines considerably :)
