Ooh, ooh, let's make something up for this thread... Anyone know how to remove the ash tray cover for the 348 console? Oh, oh, just pull on it. NM. P
Well I'm back, both my technicians already went home for the night so I can't bug them to fix it, I'd like to fix the problem tonight since I have plans of tracking the car Sunday, but worst case scenario I have to wait til Monday Just curious if anyone with an F355 has had this issue before: Car is a 99 F355 F1 Thought my problem was fixed, basically I drove the car this morning and turned it off with no issues, this evening I turned it on and 1/2 the electronics in the car are dead. Here's a list of what will and won't work: F1 Transmission will upshift to 2nd gear only, the only way I can put it in 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th is to put it in neutral after 50mph and it'll automatically select 6th gear and I can downshift down. Top will not work Seats will not move back and forth My Speedometer doesn't work Tacho doesn't work Odo doesn't work The only dash lights that work are the speedo light, tach light, check engine light, battery light, oil, clock, and gas gauge. However note it's only the light not the gauges themself that are working. Air Conditioner So basically 1/2 the switches on the center console are dead and the instrument panel doesn't work. Any thoughts or insights would be nice, thanks in advance.

Well Goth's post makes things better temporarily....but never had this issue myself. I'd venture electrical connections, remove and apply Stabilant (sp?) 22 to as many as you can reach...
lol nsxnick, never seen that picture before, that's hilarious. I took the car back to the shop today and after 5 minutes realized it ended up just being a simple fuse. Was hoping it wasn't ECU related. Also No Doubt in terms of the tach signal and the F355 you can get a rolling start in 2nd gear which is why I could shift from 1-2, in terms of down shifting it doesn't go off the tach signal. So I could shift it from 1-2 and then hit neutral and it'd go to 6th and then I could downshift to the appropriate gear.
Glad to hear you sorted it out Was it a fusable link that failed? or just a blade fuse? and where was it hidden?
