    Just removed mine....
There are only 3 fixing studs on the lower edge of the grill
    None on the corners.

There is a nice hole in the corner of the bodywork to accept a stud..but my grill dont have one.

Anyone else missing these 2 studs on their grill?

Are you talking about the ones you use a pop rivet in?

Maybe DaveRocks challenge grill write up can answer your questions. It was just referenced in another recent thread.

These tend to break off if the grill has to be removed. My old one was broken in the bottom right corner and my current one is exactly the same. Thinking of getting a nut bolted on next time I need to take it off.

    No
    The challenge grill itself.
Mine is missing the studs in each lower corner...these would poke thru the rear bodywork and be secured with a 8mm nut.

I'm gonna take it off again and see if a bolt and nut can be secured in the hole in the grill.
Otherwise a bolt needs to be welded in place.

Anyone know if the 2 corner attachments on the challenge grill are welded in bolts or bolts that are secured with a nut?

Unfortunately this doesn't show how the corner studs are physically attached to the grill itself.

Excellent answer and write up though.

It has been suggested that repairing this will require you to weld new studs on. This will then require painting.

I fixed a bolt onto the grill with a nut.
    Seems to work

Strange how my grill was missing those two studs though
The holes were there for them but no stud and no welds

    Hey lotusk ... it's welded.
Here's some photos of my factory OEM Challenge Grill before I installed it on my former 355.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the fotos.

Mine is missing those corner studs.
Fixed with a bolt and nut although had to elongate one corner hole to get the grill to line up nicely with the rear fender.

Why can't manufacturers make things right?
