I was just reading the thread on the for sale section. They look like decent well engineered bits of kit. Next time the cars on the ramp il be looking at the flanblocs to see if they need replacing/upgrading
These Sky Hye parts look good, as do the Japanese ones, but they are pricey! Prekom in Europe produce them also and they sell for about £75 sterling each. They also produce ball joints and track rod ends which have been reported elsewhere here as very good quality.
The Sky Hye parts are plated steel. For most people not looking for a performance upgrade, its the breakdown of this coating and subsequent corrosion and "stickiness" in the joint that is the issue with the OEM parts. I don't see that the Sky Hye parts move the game on, unless they are usefully cheaper.
Well they say it is; I think they're case being that it has some additional seals to prevent water ingress. Materials look to be comparable with OEM though. I believe then that its only Hill that do fully stainless steel construction.
Indeed- hadn’t realised that. I expect that Paul has already got this list of future developments. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
So, the real question here is: Why do these bushings wear out on 360s and 430s yet no one has reported changing them out on a 599, why??
Less 599/612 produced.. both variants use same bushings as 430/360 They are not reported as often,true.. but we do replace them almost all at the same rate..
