When Dom post, I listen. Fortunately for me I’ve yet to ask for advice since my car is running great, but I know if I have any F1 issues he’s the guy I’m going to reach out to. Thank you Sir, for your service on this great form.

I’m here to let y’all know that I’m the luckiest person on this site. Dominick aka flash32 gets my vote for “The Best Person On This Site”

It’s a little long, but well deserved !!!

Oh my goodness, this man went above and beyond what I could have ever expected. I met him on this site when he offered his expert opinion and advice to me. He was very happy to be on the phone with me for almost an hour, while I was sitting in my car, hundreds of miles away. His diagnostic expertise is amazing. In comparison, it was my first time ever doing anything with a dongle.

His help at that time, guided me to get my car to a mechanic close to me in South Carolina. That was the first time I was blessed to have Dominick as a friend !!!

The second time was when I was wanting to find a highly experienced and qualified shop that could have my dash removed and reupholstered because of the defroster vent issue. A shop that has done this before and could also give the car a complete checkup while there. Dominick said he lived close to a shop in New Jersey that he felt was a great fit for my needs. J. Scuderia Automotive was the shop and Fonz was the owner mechanic. I contacted Fonz and we worked on a time for me to get the car to him. Great !!! I finally was able to find a private transporter with a single enclosed trailer. Dominick said, deliver the car to him and he’d give it a look see. WOW, he did his diagnostic magic and with his recommendations and my needs, he brought the car to Fonz. Once the car was finished, Dominick picked it up and went over it. Now you know that it went back to get a couple of noises addressed and also that it needed a new thermostat. He also brought it to his local dealership for the brake fluid cap recall. All this out of the greatness of his heart♥️ !!!

So once he was totally satisfied, I drove up and met “The Man” in person. It was so cool even though he wouldn’t let me give him a kiss on his forehead. LOL

We had a couple of trailer issues, none of his fault, but we got it loaded up and I trailered it home the next day.

He went absolutely above and beyond any other person I’ve ever met. All while being so worried about being “responsible” for my car. I kept telling him, it’s just a car, don’t lose sleep over it.

    He just laughed at me.

So I’m very happy to say that I am blessed to have met you Dominick flash32 and will be there for you if you should ever need a crazy guy by your side.

    Love You Dominick,

    Dominic

Thank you for your kind words and praise. You are a true gem and not only because you took the time to say thanks here on this forum but how you have been to me over the course of the last 2 years. I can say that it is few and far between meeting someone as down to earth, trusting, trustworthy, and generous as you. This is especially true considering we were total strangers when we started conversing on ferrarichat. I am the one that is blessed with your friendship and support thru my time of personal loss. You inspired me to be more patient and laid back. You are full of positive energy. When I did finally meet you, it was like i knew you for 50 years. Thank you
I am so glad that I could assist you in getting your car in the most tip top shape possible. The biggest complement was that you entrusted me with your prized possession and considered my recommendations. I went thru your car ( driving it many miles :) ) to capture all the issues and upon its return I went thru it again ( many miles :) ). I did small tweaks here and there to even make better. Granted tweaking a Ferrari is not all work ..it has the added benefit of driving it. I also met up with another member on here and did side by side comparisons of some of quirks of the f430 to make sure that I wasn't missing anything. I enjoyed being the "Godfather" of the car for the last 7 months or so.

How would have known that 2 NYC dominic(k)'s (Italians) would come to meet on here and start a bro romance... lol

    God bless you
    Dominick

I recently got myself a Ferrari 430, and it's in amazing condition with super low mileage. I bought it from the original owner who barely drove it, mostly keeping it stored away. When I first got the car, it had been sitting untouched for 9 months. But guess what? When I turned on the battery switch, it started right up without any issues or warning lights. Still, I wanted to be extra sure everything was perfect, so I went ahead and did a full major service. I changed the engine and gearbox mount because there was this annoying vibration at idle and between 1100-1500 rpm. I also swapped out the valve cover gasket. After all that, the car was running like a dream again.

But here's where things get interesting. I noticed that my F1 pump was priming more often than I expected. My local mechanic brushed it off as normal, but something inside me just didn't feel right about it. That's when I decided to turn to the forum for some guidance. As I searched for similar problems, “Flash32”, kept popping up in various threads where he was helping others. his expertise and willingness to assist caught my attention, so I reached out to him for help. Little did I know that it would lead to such incredible support and a solution to my problem.

"Hey Dominick, I just wanted to give you a huge shoutout and express my deepest appreciation for all the help you provided. Your experience and knowledge in troubleshooting the issue I was facing were truly impressive. Not only did you identify the problem, but you also stayed with me on the phone for hours, patiently guiding me through the steps to fix it. I can't thank you enough for your dedication and willingness to go the extra mile to assist me. Your expertise and support made a world of difference, and I'm incredibly grateful to have you as a resource in the car forum community. Thank you once again for being such an amazing help!"

Some time back about 2 months ago, I was driving for about an 1hr or so when one of my shifts did not engage, 2-3, even though the dash signaled I was in 3rd gear. I pulled over, put the car in N, then back into 1st gear and continued on back towards my house. About 30 minutes into my return home, the car did it again, however this time 3-4 gear. I again pulled over and put the car in N then back up through the gears normally until getting home. I knew it was not the F1 sensor as I had just had that replaced by a mechanic (symptoms for that was car would not shift past 2nd gear). My next step was to reach out to Flash32, he had helped me diagnose the previous issue. I am so happy that I reached out to Dominick as he had step by step instructions on how to fix the issue. I have never met someone in the car community so passionate and knowledgeable on these cars and F1 related issues. Admittedly, there were some times that I wanted to take shortcuts to get the repair done by I am extremely glad I did not do that and instead printed his instructions out and followed them to a T. Long story short, Dominick recommended that I replace the F1 Accumulator, Clutch Solenoid and pump relay. In addition to this, because my car is a 2001 MY, I purchased a scan tool that could communicate with the TCU. After getting all the correct parts, the repair and a test drive and some timing tests I am happy to say the car is FIXED! Never thought I'd be working on my own car but after doing so I am happy I did. Thank you Dominick!!
