Well, now that you've seen what was inside the building, here are the first shots of the cars that came to the show, a pretty eclectic group in its own right.

A lot of Mustangs at the show, mainly of '68-'70 vintage, which happen to be my favorite years. Note that the "Mazda" RX-7 actually has a Corvette engine under the hood! And the Avanti also has a 'vette engine, with Paxton supercharging.

Here are the rest of the photos. I've never seen a show where so many people stayed for so short a time. Many of these cars were there for no more than 20 minutes or so! By the time I shot the Prowler (sounds like something you read about in the news all the time!), most of the cars were gone, which was good, because a thunderclap sent the rest of us scurrying for the cars to drive them inside, a luxury not present at most car shows. It only rained for about 5 minutes, but that was enough to be glad for Flashback's big building. (The guy with the gorgeous '56 Thunderbird said that it hadn't been rained on in about 43 years!)

Just before the rain fell, a fellow pulled in in what looked like a Mondial but certainly didn't sound like one. Turned out he had put a 383 cubic-inch Chevy in the back, which also took up the rear seat. And the twin Magnaflow mufflers filled up what used to be the trunk. I believe he quoted 460 horsepower, and a 50/50 weight distribution. The purists might cringe, but it was nicely done. And he showed up later at Sugo, so you can see more photos on that thread.

Gatorrari, It takes a man of car passion to take the time to photograph special car events so that fellow car nuts like me who have prior engagements can view the events like they were there. Your photos show your passion. I always take the time to view your artwork so I thought it was time to thank you! Horse-Power

You're welcome! After all, you have to have passione to own a Ferrari, so why not pass it on to others? Of course, it's nice now not to have to worry about how many shots are left on a roll of film.....
