Hello, I've not had this issue before, and looking to see if anyone has any thoughts.

While driving (and just tested, just sitting in neutral after the car is running for around 10 min in Neutral), the gear indicator starts flashing N, and the gearbox indicator comes on in the dash.

Turn off the car. Battery seems to be ok. Try starting it. Absolutely nothing. Let it sit for a bit, open the door, can hear the F1 pump going for like 5 sec. Key in, now shows 4th gear. Pull both levers for N. Nothing. Then the F1 gearbox indicator comes on. Can't get it to display N, and actually, the car is in neutral, not 4th.

Thoughts on where to start with this?

Ideally, it would be helpful to get the codes being set if you have a tool to do this.

    How old is the battery?

I would be suspicious of the f1 potentiometers on the actuator, but we need more info before going there.

Agreed .i sure some codes are set and most likely sensors

Give us some insight on timing if pump on /off cycles with key in engine off and key on engine on

Also how.many shifts do you get before pump cycles with key on ..or does it not allow you any shifts

Did you check for fluid leak (busted hose)!..check level in tank

Put a new battery in it. Charging an old one is not sufficient.

There are too many questions unanswered here

If OP would.like to call me just let me know here and we can schedule a call. I am sure a 15 min call.will.lead us closer to the real issue ..

    Can be a battery

    Can be pressure related

    Can be a brake switch

    Etc

Need more complete diag ..no sense guessing
