Hi. My battery went flat on my California 30 (2013) and now the ECU has a major problem - I know it's Christmas, but I don't want it lit up like a Christmas tree. Any advice would be most helpful?

Try charging completely with a quality charger - or if you care to remove the battery - take it to an auto parts store or shop that can load test it.

As KS says above, fully charge the battery with a bench charger. Disconnect the battery from the car while charging.

once fully charged, reconnect and follow the battery replacement procedure, that way you’ll avoid confusing the car with low voltage.

if the battery is older than 3 or 4 years, consider changing it for a new one.
