Is it just me or does everyone look at a car in New Orleans as a potential floodmobile?

It worries me how dirty that engine bay is.

Flat black looks horrible, car looks rough, on the plus side, looks like Tubi headers instead of stock. You think they would have cleaned the engine bay up a bit to try and sell it.

It's difficult to comprehend the dealer's mentality - clean outside(altho that's not my colour of choice) and a filthy engine bay and as Robbie noted, the missing lateral engine bay cover. Sure implies how the owners have treated the car. I would pass on that one for sure!

I know that car and it wasn't flooded. It was serviced and sold at the local shop we all use here.

It looked like a good car before it was purchased and customized. The gloss black over tan is a good color combo.
First time I saw it with the "upgraded" paint at the shop I thought it was part of the process of repainting it.

Luckily, my mechanic wipes down the motor area when he is done servicing it--it always looked better after the service it than before...

Didn't look like this when it was sold to the current owner.

Looks like a tough sell to get $70K for it IMO.

The matte black color actually isn't too bad, IMHO. But the overall condition on this one does not look promising...

Totally agree. Looks like it could have been taken better care of...

How could you wax a flat black car? It looks like crap. Like someone sprayed it with Walmart primer. I see cars painted like that over in the bad parts of town where it probably is Walmart primer.

Not much point in waxing it, the whole point is to keep it from shining ;)

If you want to tidy it up, similar to what you would do when waxing, use a scotchbrite scrubber pad.

The car is not modified enough in other areas to wear this paint, it just cheapens the look. However if it was fitted with a suitable set of gloss black wheels and the ride height reset to match the rims it would look great IMO.

they should have wrapped it rather than painting it, then it would have been easy to reverse.

Scotchbrite pads around the Ferraris makes me cringe. Someone could buy this and wrap it in chrome like the middle east guys.
