Great way to start a morning! Open the garage and low and behold, my rear passenger tire is totally flat and won't take air. Might be a blessing, as the 275s out back are actually too skinny for my upgraded 19 inch wheels. The lip of the rim does not fit precisely flush with the tire, so it's time to go wider.

Question for the pros here: I want to run Michelin Super Sports 295/30 19 in the rear. Will these fit? I have heard of folks using 295s on stock wheels, and I really want the MPSS because of their outstanding rep. Let me know what everyone thinks! Thanks!

I do NOT think that Michelin Pilot Super Sports are available in 295/30-18" size. They do offer a 285/30 - 18" version that is close to the original rear wheel diameter spec. I have the same problem: If i want a 295/30-18" looks like the Vredestein Ultrac Sessenta is the best available rubber (Michelin PS2 is available, but not as good as the SS or Vred), otherwise the Michelin Pilot Super Sport @ 285/30-18". I love the Pilot Super Sport grip & handling, nothing better for the street in my opinion!

Thanks for the input! My rims are 19 inch, so luckily I was able to order the 295 30 19 MSS today! Can't wait to get em on!

Excellent, give them about 50 miles to fully remove the mold release before really pushing it! Sometimes they can have some residue leftover that is slick, but wears off quickly.
