Not just F1 guys...I have a friend who is a country music singer/songwriter in Nashville...we went out to eat a few weeks back and the tab was $3700 plus an over $2k bar tab...he was drinking $200 a bottle wine with dinner and a cognac that cost $300 per glass at the bar afterwards...needless to say I don't offer to pay when I go out with him and his wife...he is not a car guy though and is happy with a Chevy SSR as his daily driver...he says he can put several guitars and a case of wine in the back...

 

Flavio obviously knows how to waste his money well. Where does Flavio spend the other 54 weeks? Does he have houses in Europe.

 

He has an incredible villa down in Africa, I hear.

 

So THATS how he made so much money! He gets more weeks in his year than we do! No fair!!!

 

Kenya. He rents it out as well. He lives in London as his base (not sure what he has or where exactly he lives), I believe, and also has a house in Paris (Renault HQ and I believe the F1 team has one aspect of the operation). Not to mention he's got a pretty nice boat and a Challenger private jet. Not a bad life.

I thought he bought his NYC digs to use to visit his baby that he had with Heidi.

Is it a waste of money? I mean, it is a pretty nice piece of real estate he has. The return on investment could be pretty nice.

Actually, Flavio Briatore was top management at Bennetton, then founded and was CEO of Bennetton North America, he made million$ in the 80's and '90s, before the F1 teams.

 

Probably a pretty good investment. You don't want to put everything in stocks.

I actually live on Mars, thus 54+2=52. I'm sorry I forgot to use the Earthian way form of addition. Also I realize I am an idiot because I still cant remember how many weeks there are in a year.

 

Its a waste if he plans on just using it as an apartment. It is pretty smart to use it as an investment though. Then again, I also don't have 25 mill laying out to make real estate investments, so I wouldn't know.

I didn't realize that people buy houses/apartments to not live in them, normal people like me have 1 house in which you live in 50+ weeks a years. Multi-gazillionaires like Flavio buy things (like houses) that they will never use, because they know that they can make money of it.
