Although I have always looked forward to going to Germany, this is not the reason for going that I would prefer. My stepmother needs to be treated for cancer in Bad Mergentheim. We have been told that this is a great place for treatment. So, what do you guys think is the best way to get tickets. Of course, my father would be with us. We only need coach. I've tried expedia, travelocity, etc. We would fly into Frankfurt. Could we hire a taxi or something to get to the clinic, or would we have to rent a car? Thanks to all of you for the help.

Sorry to hear that .. .. not a nice cause to visit Europe :-(

Frankfurt - Bad Mergentheim is something like 140 km. Totally cost prohibitive by taxi. If you feel uncomfortable about searching for the route get a car with navigation system. E.g. a Mercedes A-Class is totally sufficient and comes standard with navi at most rental companies.

Sorry to hear about your step-mom. I hope everything works out well.

I'm also surprised to learn you feel the best treatment is in Germany. No good centers in the US?

    Thanks.
Our doctor insisted that Germany has the most technologicaly advanced cancer treatment in the world, and then he recommended a Hufeland Klinic in Bad Mergentheim. We still don't now when or even if we are going.

    Thanks to everybody.
