Anyone done it recently? just wanted to price shop. Don't have the space to do it myself. Continental? LFSC? Ed's? Others? need oil done. Should also do coolant (its been 2 years). LFSC quoted me about $700 for everything (including gearbox) parts, labor.

Don't you still have access to your lift? 2 hours work...$700...makes sense to do it yourself, especially if you still have the lift...
Lift is not terribly accessible at this point (renters... cars...) I've just about been spooked into doing the major on the car. It's been 5 years.... and I'm getting paranoid. No good reason, really, other than I have not driven her much lately (obviously), and all those squeaks and rattles have my nuts in my throat! ... and if I'm gonna pay a fair amount of $ for fluids, why not go all the way? I really hate this part of F ownership... the mental anquish!
