I have recently been diagnosed with the mental illness of Schizophrenia. I am taking Zyprexa and Lexapro. Will an FAA examiner ban me from flying because of this?

I think if you are medicated and doctor signs you off for med cert, then I think you are fine. You might have a special requirement to not go off the meds. I have no clue really, just guessing.

AOPA.COM has a feature on their website that allows you to look up most medications to see if they are allowed, baned, whatever. I just looked up both Zyprexa and Lexapro. Both are baned which means, if you are taking them, you cannot legally fly.

    Sorry.
