Flywheel need balancing?

Hi,
Just replacing my clutch as it was slipping in 5th (78 308 ) The flywheel had a lot of tiny hairline cracks so i sent it off to the local engineering shop to be resurfaced.
Does anyone know if it will require dynamically balancing afterwards?
The shop i took it to can only resurface it and have no facilities for balancing.

Should be fine, when they turn the flywheel it removes an equal amount of metal in all directions. The difference in balance is very very small.

FYI, I never turn my flywheels, I usually just use the same type sand paper I use on my brakes rotors and pads on the flywheel and buff the surface and break the glazing.

 

That's because you are cheap.

 

I always use new sandpaper.

 

Resurfacing is all you need.
