you have to find a suitable replacement from a peice of bulk foam and cut it to fit. I have some that was given to me for my 308 that I need to cut to size. Im told to use an electric knife to get perfect results.

A new bread knife yields good results..;)

I used a product called Armorflex from the HVAC supply store, variuos thickness are available and it holds up well...they wrap big chillers with it.

It's closed cell instead of the open cell bulk foam, which will absorb water and hold it.....

Don't forget to put Mom's knife back!

Best "tool" for cutting foam.........................An electric knife, you know the one that you use for the turkey on Thanksgiving?

Also the foam you might want to locate is called "hardcard"...............used in ATA type roadcases, which are used to protect electronics during shipping as well as when in use..so heat of under 250 F is not an issue...............

There is some info about the hardcard here at the top of the page.............
