I just purchased two foam seals that are suppose to fit under the front hood and aid in ducting airflow. Does anyone know the exact location these seals should be attached? I cannot see any indication on the undersurface of the hood but it has been repainted.

Should I use 3M double sided tape to attach them. They came with no directions from Rutlands.

This is on my 1982 308 GTSi.

I used a couple of coats of the 3M spray adhesive on the foam. It worked great.

I think one of them goes right in line with the top of the radiator so that it seals the gap between the radiator and the hood.

    3M Spray Adhesive #77....

One across the radiator top, as posted, the other one follows the profile of leading edge of the spare tire storage well...

On the later cars it goes rearward at an angle, on the ends..

Check the sides and bottom of your radiator there should be similar foam there as well.

Sounds like your hood was replaced or THOROUGHLY repainted, otherwise you'd see the old adhesive, to go by....
