Tom took a bunch of great pictures, which you can download from his sharepoint: http://www.imagemasterinc.com/~general/F-Chat_CIR/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had a blast! I looked at the link above, and realized that the files are so large (most are directly from the camera), that nobody will want to click and wait to see each one. So I made a "web-gallery" that has a thumbnails and sample images. I put the gallery in the directory linked above. I suggest interested parties browse the gallery, find the picture of themselves or other images they want, and note the file name. Then go to parent directory and download the corresponding hi-res file. Gallery is here: http://www.imagemasterinc.com/~general/F-Chat_CIR/CIR-Gallery/ Parent directory is here: http://www.imagemasterinc.com/~general/F-Chat_CIR/ I had my personal photographer shoot this shot of me driving around the helmet room. Thanks Lea! I have to say that the view from my cockpit was mostly other drivers pulling away. Occasionally I would gradually catch up only to spin or slide and lose all that gain; or do something right and I would seemingly leap forward to catch up. Near the end of the last race, 4 of us were bumper to bumper, just inches away, for nearly a lap, all apparently at the limit -- and then in the back straight - A blur went streaking past like we were standing still. Wow! Look at Haley go! On the way home, it felt like all the other traffic was standing still. I was velocitized. I think I might have to make this a monthly outing for myself. These are shots NOT in the above mentioned gallery / links. When I was racing, so was the rest of the group. So these are pictures of folks from another group, but since most of us all look basically the same, in our rented suits and white helmets, this is pretty much how we looked. Dominic & I had a great time, thanks. I also learned an important lesson, never race any of you for pinks! Great pics Tom!
This was great fun, thanks for the invite. I look forward to a next time. Hopefully some of your names have stuck in my feeble mind. The wife's usually nimble Beemer felt like such an understeering pig on the drive home.
Great time. Here are a few pictures. The first one, someone has a big smile for kicking some derriere on the track. Even my wife beat me , but I spent most of my time spinning and kissing the wall Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gotta watch out for that "bump" from Andreas... especially when your are running #1 with 4 laps to go!
