    As reminder, the Chicago FOC will be having our annual Holiday Party for Sunday, Dec. 8th. The dinner is at the Outback Steak House on Higgins Road in Chicago.

    Please post here if you will attend, and have not already let John know, so we can make the appropriate reservation. It will begin at 6:30pm for the reservation.

    Sorry this posting notice was a bit late. Gerry328 caught that I hadn't followed up. (Gerry, thanks for the catch!) Many of us have had work, health and family situations this year and that have required a lot of attention.

    In addition, I sent out a Survey Monkey survey to the FOC Midwest members and there was a question on of how members wanted to be informed of events. The overwhelming response was they wanted info through FOC club e-mail notifications. So, that's our main notification process for members.

    We would always welcome new members to give us ideas and participation support, so that option is open to you if you want more timely notification. Unfortunately, non-members have to take their chances on receiving event info through non-FOC avenues.

    Congrats to Gerry for his cool award.

    Once again the dinner and the comraderie were a delight. Hope everybody made it home safely. We saw this on our way home

    Thanks to our members we have a great group of people. It was great to see everyone last night, but I have got to remember to bring a camera! I hope to get some photos from Norbert to post or perhaps he will post some.

    Sounds like it was the usual good time! We got out of the ER ~6:00. By the time we got mom back and settled it was too late. First time I've missed this since 2005!

    It was a great seeing all of you and as usual a fun time. John thank you for the award, it was completely unexpected, and of course for setting up the dinner. Andreas, thank you for the continued work on the calendar (I look forward to it each year) and for the gift.

    We missed those who you could not attend, especially Bill.

    Best wishes to all for a happy, healthy and safe holiday.

    Here are a few shots Norbert sent to me. We were enjoying the cars Andreas brought as gifts. Too bad they didn't show up in a picture.

    We had a "Master Mechanic" award for Gerry as he supports all of our tech. sessions. (Pic 1).
    I also had 2 "Gumball Awards" to two people that drove about an hour and a half just to get to our Starved Rock meeting point. Then we drove another 2 hrs on back roads. It was a great drive and time. The bad weather kept them from showing up. I'll keep them until we see each other again. (Pic 2)
    I also have another gift for a board member, but other issues prevented him from making the drive. I have that one too.
