Mark your calendars, we'll have our annual holiday party again at the Outback Steakhouse on 8101 W Higgins Road. Let's get together for an early dinner and meet at 4pm . Some folks have other events that evening and this way we give everybody a chance to attend. In Europe December 6th is Nikolaus day (roughly Santa Clause day) where the good children get presents and the bad ones deported by a child molesting old man. So to stay in that good tradition we got lots of trophies to hand out: Aside from some special awards there will be more go kart trophies (makes you wonder, doesn't it?) and some "left overs" from the WI event that didn't happen: Anybody who is present can participate to vote for the top 3 Ferraris of Chicagoland. You don't have to bring the car to the event, we know what you drive. Also I'll have the calendars for sale. For those who haven't been to this yet: Anybody is welcome, club membership is not required (but encouraged ). Everybody pays for his or her own food and drinks, which normally ends up in a huge guessing game at the end of the evening...
Cool. I need an approximate head count for the restaurant, so please "RSVP" on here if you come. Participants: Carsleuth Andreas (2)
I guess I will watch out for the red cars from my Swiss Airlines LX9 flight to Zurich, I'm flying out on the same day...
Happy to see you again! Update: Participants: Carsleuth (2) Andreas (2) Rick Richard (2) Twins Dave Gerry (2)

I'm due for more eye surgery. I can't drive at nite and even during daylight I have difficulty. Tomorrow I see the surgeon, and he'll make the determination of if/when I have surgery. At this point, I'm doubtful I'll be able to make it. Ya know, going blind ain't no picnic! Sparky
I will be there and will also celebrate 2 years of Ferrari ownership on that date (bought/picked-up my car @ LFSC on Dec 6th 2006).
Terrific! Update: Participants: Carsleuth (2) Andreas (2) Rick Richard (2) Twins Dave Gerry (2) Ann Chelle & Haley Joe Max

Today at 4pm at the Outback on Higgins. As usual everybody should try to pay for his/her own orders. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, so try to remember what you ordered or we'll have the annual guessing game who had that Cesar's salad without onions. Aside from lots of trophies and awards, I'll bring the calendars. Thanks to a nice discount (there are benefits to a recession) I was able to lower the price to $ 10 a piece, which should also make paying a bit easier. Update: Participants: Carsleuth (2) Andreas (2) Rick Richard (2) Twins Dave Gerry (2) Ann Chelle & Haley Joe Max Sandra & Bill Norbert And please don't drink and drive.
Andreas, thanks again for another fun year with the FOC. The holiday party was a blast, and I hope NOT to receive my award for for many more years! I know I am speaking for everyone in thanking you for all of the work you do to make the club a success.
Thanks for your kind words. Lets not forget the other board members, who also organize events for us all: Haley, Skip, Dave and Richard! But ultimately it is you the members who make it happen by coming to the events. We'll have a similar lineup of events for next year: http://www.ferrariownersclub.org/index.php?cmd=calendar&id=3&subitem=1 And of course most events attended will be awarded with the Gumball trophy, most maintenance costs spent with the Mille Lire, err Miglia award and combined Gokart proscore will get you one of those dandy dogfood bowls.
Had a really great time. Calendars look awesome, food was great, good company. Really a wonderful evening. Arrived home late this afternoon and there they were! 2 great calendars. Once again, great job Andreas. Sorry, I missed the party. Looked like fun. I wonder who won? Ann didn't remember any with the exception of one. Happy Holidays to All!
