Just curious... the FOC site says there is a track event with FVM on 6/13. FVM website says it is the Lambo customer appreciation day, and its $250. I asked the owner of FVM at the Chicago auto show (before I saw the thing on the FOC site) about a track event with FOC, and he had a blank look on his face, had no idea. What gives?
Mike Wogronic invited FOC to join in on the June 13 track event at the Autobahnclub South loop. Yes, that is a Lambo day, but we can join. $ 250 is the cost for the day as it is a full day of lapping. Just to clarify: On April 23 we'll have a touring event in combination with CAROC (or lapping for those who prefer to do the full day). That will be the North loop. So in essence you'll get a chance this year to drive both tracks.
Our track days this year will be at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet on April 25 and June 13. The first date will be targeted to Lotus cars because it will be on the North track which has shorter straights. The June date will be geared to our Lamborghini owners because we will be on the south track which has a very long straight in the back part of the course. Any car is able to run on either date, but we fee the Lamborghini and Lotus customers would have more fun with a larger group of similar cars. Of course we would love to see some Ferraris at either event, but I think most of the Ferrari guys want to be on the track with the Lambos and vice versa; therefore Andreas and I thought the June date would be better for the FOC to be involved with. Thanks Andreas for all of your help! Additionally, we will be having seperate events called the "Elise Experience" on 4/18, 4/19, 4/20, 4/21, and 4/22. This is a one day driving school using a Lotus Elise with Lotus test driver instructors. Should be a lot of fun as well.
