Tod approached us with this idea at the x-mas party and we liked it so much, we decided to follow up on it: FOC-Midwest will offer a "Mille Miglia Trophy" for the one club member who drives the most miles on his/her Ferrari(s) this year. In order to participate you either send me via email a pic of your tachometer reading NOW or post it here. In late November you submit another pic of the reading at that time and we figure out who drove the most miles. If somebody has more than one Ferrari, the cumulative sum of all readings counts. Obviously there are ways to cheat in this competition, but who wants a trophy they don't deserve? So to kick this off, here is my own reading, although I know I won't stand a chance against some of the die hards on here. PS: A similar announcements will be published in the next Pilota. Post or send me a pic of your speedo. If Dave makes it to FCA Nationals he'll probably win hands down, but right now he is in a little debate with the EPA. Tod is another candidate and then there is Frank possibly driving to Muskegon. But at any rate: Take a pic, you never know...
I'll enter with a handicap. I won't even be getting my car until late April/early May, so I'll miss a couple of months of miles, but I bet I'll still be competitive if not the winner.
Doc, knowing you, you are definitely in the running. Even if you got it in June, I'd still put my money on you!
This contest is an underwhelming success so far: I got exactly two participants. So c'mon people, go out to your garage and snap a picture of the speedo! PS: I also updated FOC's event calendar. It's gonna be another busy summer: http://www.ferrariownersclub.org/index.php?cmd=calendar&id=3&subitem=1
I don't have a camera and when I tried to put the 365 through the scanner it F**ked things all to He*l.... and to top things off, after spending hours on the phone with customer support, I don't think HP is going to honor the warranty!! &%^$#()^$#^&*!!!
hey, here's our speedometer sadest part is we didn't even get to put the 1.5 miles on it - that's what they put on calibrating it. Chelle Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any miles added to this speedo will be an engineering triumph for you. Hopefully one mile will have my name on it.
I got a couple more pictures. It is not too late, keep me sending your odometer readings or simply post a picture on here.
For concours they have to go, otherwise they look great. The original rubber pedals are very dull. In case you decide to get rid of them: I'll buy the left foot rest. PS: I think your floor mats are aftermarket as well.
The aftermarket floor mats cover the originals. I'll let you know about the pedals. They are from Ultimate pedals and include what you see plus the passenger foot well. They were installed by the PO at LFSC.
Bo and Mike Z., consider yourself entered into the contest. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations on your beautiful new car! In order to verify that your picture isn't a photoshop you need to leave the vehicle with me. Just for a weekend... You're in the running now. Let's see how many miles you can rack up. And I think you need to slightly update your profile now.
Alright, time's up! If you're still in the race for this trophy, please post your end of year picture here of your tachometer. Something tells me a red 308 is a hot candidate for the trophy.
In Issue 2 of 2006 Pilota, page 16 is my odometer reading from Dec 2005, (11,918) ending the year at 14,277 miles Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gary! Only 68 miles?! Haven't you had the car since the summer at least? If you need someone to take her out a bit...
That was the BEGINNING. Having new tires put on (came out to my garage to find a flat right rear yesterday) but I'm a little north of 6K at this point. Will post a picture when I get it back.
Ok, Ok course the year i didn't drive as much being this year. But i have at least a couple thousdand miles i put on it this year... Yes, my defrost indicator bulb needs to be fixed as you can see in the latest picture... Have to remove to dash to replace the little clip, not a priority lately... HAH!
