Anyone could help me in telling me how to take off the fog light switch of a 1991 Testarossa on the upper console. They come out a couple of cm but then they are stuck I guess on the two “clamps” on each side of the body of the switch that I can see in the replacement I have

    Thanks a lot

Pressure fit only. The wires are pretty tight and can bind up because there is little room behind the switch and the wires have to make a 90 degree bend out of the connector. Just pull gently and you should be able to get it out an inch or more depending on slack in your harness.

    Are these Ferrari Engineers nuts!?!

WHY does a simple DC switch need SEVEN wires? EIGHT? Why not a few more!?!

Yea, all that plus like I said, a 90 degree bend with about 1/2-3/4" room behind the switch--brilliant!

Miguel, what's your problem that you need to pull the switch?

Thanks Tim for the answer. I need to change the front fog light switch as the one in my car was not original and I want to revert to an original one that I already bought. By the way do you know how to take the complete upper console? I might need to reconnect the switch I have since the non-original for sure does not have all the connections and the contact box and I guess I need to “fish” for the original wires

    Upper console removal:
    1. Carefully pry the fog light (left) and rear heated window switch (right) housings out of the console (pressure fit), then pull the black connector off each switch. In some markets there is also a rear fog light switch between the two others—remove connector if installed (If the switch is blank (dummy) leave it installed). If you encounter difficulty removing switches, this step can be accomplished after step 3 where you can press the switches out from the back of the console housing.
    2. Remove the “spot for passenger compartment” (swivel dome light) assembly. It’s held in only by pressure from two metal spring clips attached to the side of the assembly at the 3:00 and 6:00 positions, and can be a firm fit. Use care not to damage the housing or plastic filter lens it fits into, a plastic/non-metallic trim removal tool or similar is recommended. Note that the assembly has a spring metal retention tab at the 12:00 (front) position and an alignment boss at the 6:00 (rear) position that fits in a slot in the smoked plastic cover. With the assembly lowered the GE558 bulb can now be accessed by twisting the black holder counter-clockwise. To remove the lamp assembly, completely disconnect the red and black spade connectors.
    3. With the lamp assembly lowered/removed a single 6mm Phillips head screw/lock washer/flat washer securing the console will now be visible (directly above spot light)—remove this screw then slide the console forward to disengage two front tabs, then partially lower and disconnect the electrical connector.
    4. Remove console.

I wrote it. I'm basically writing procedures for every task I undertake in hopes of building a coachwork disassembly guide.
