I'm going to be putting a pair of fog lights on my '83 308QV. Hopefully fully recessed as with the Euro cars rather than just hanging from the bumper. Any recommendations on how to go about running the switch wire into the cabin? The wiring harness I have (From Painless in Texas) hooks up in the battery bay and I've run the wires to the lights. But I'm having trouble getting the on/off switch installed. I took out the fiberglass shroud that surrounds the spare wheel and didn't see any obvious entry points. I spent a few minutes on my back looking under the dash but gave up late on a Sunday night a few weekends ago. So now I am planning to put a number of hours Saturday into figuring it out but I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations.

    Thanks!

I drilled a hole in the fiberglass firewall on the passenger side down in the little cubbyhole and put a rubber grommet in it. Now I just run any wires I need thru there when I need to. Really easy. The best way to reach in and run wires is to remove the front right wheel and fenderwell.

    John,

To get the wire from the front and into the car follow the solid core wire leads that are on top that control the heating. See pic below.

Can't seem to find pic so basically look under the front hood towards the far sides, center. You will see a large black box. Move towards the passenger compartment and stay on the far side of the car and you will see where a solid wire encased in a black tube that controls the heater element. Those solid wires run into the passenger/driver compartment to the inside controls. Find that opening and you are golden :)

Thanks Tom & Steven. Appreciate the advice. I'll look for that black tube but also consider the drilling idea. Either way I feel a sore back coming! But it should be fun. I'll post some pics when I'm done.
