Tomorrow is my birthday and my parent's are taking me to Fogo de Chao for dinner. I've heard a lot of great things about the place itself. What I wanted to ask was if there is anything I should know about it and are there any certain meats that are a MUST to try.

Just like to get everyone's opinion. Thanks.

Thats another thing I miss most about Houston, that place is the best. I've haven't tried the one in North Dallas yet but I'm sure its great. Btw, have a light breakfast & lunch that day, you will need the room later.

    Enjoy your Birthday.

Sliced salamon on the salad bar with mozarella balls, bottom sirloin is great, and you will have room for the papaya ice cream with liqour on top for dessert.

    Have a wonderful time!

try them all, everything they have is great. usually they have a daily special meat that is always good, but i doubt (unless you don't like a certain type of mea) you won't dislike anything, one of my favorite restaurants in houston.

Been to the one in Buckhead in Atlanta. Go easy on the salad bar, save it for the many kinds of meat!

Thanks guys, I'm definately looking forward to trying it out. I've only heard good things and ya'll have kept the trend going. I've heard a few people say for what you spend it's not worth it. But they are also the same people who don't like to spend the extra buck or two and traveling distance to go to Rice Village or area's like that. Nor do they really comprehend the whole premise of quality. Thanks again, and I'll let you know what I think.

    JUST EAT IT ALL!!!!!!!

If your a meat eater than stay away from the salad bar the first time you go! They have an awesome salad bar, but if your a diehard carnavor skip that until you go another time!

You better believe I'm a carnivor. I love red meat. I've only eaten a bowl of cereal at about 10 this morning. Not eating anything else and watch the Food Network all day until I leave. I'm really looking forward to Fogo.

Well it's been many hours since I've left Fogo. My goodness what a place. I had a great time and enjoyed it. I had a small salad, a slice of ponchita, and asperagus. Then onto the main course trying everything available. I also sampled a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet Sauvignon. I left feeling 10lbs heavier. In fact I'm still tasting the meat on my breathe. If it wasn't for my mom I wouldn't have gotten desert (not much on sweets) but my parents and I split some strawberry something-another with raspberry liquore on top....delicious.

The service was spectacular, hell my water glass never reached the halfway mark. My parents already plan on going back again they were so impressed. Thanks again for everyones input, yall were right on about everything.
