    Hi all,
My friend Triple Black (also on Fchat) noted that the seats of early cars (until what chassis No ?) had a pocket on their back.
For example, Furanku's car (19169) has it; mine (21125) no.
The spare parts catalogs don’t really identify this variation.

Who has this pocket and what is the corresponding chassis/assy No ?
Thanks for your for helping our knowledge.

Thanks for your help sebino81. I was about to open a thread as well.

This concerns only very early fiberglass car. I post below the picture of the back seat.
If any of fiberglass early car owners car confirm they have it or not, that would be great for our database. We are a few here working on that website to finds all that small details that changed along the prodcution of 308-328.

I just discover for the back seat so I still don"t know if it is an Euro specification or if US and Australian cars have it or not.
Would be nice to have your feedback about it.

Thanks every one for your help...

    Thanks for all the answers.
To be sure we are talking about the same pocket behind the seat, I'm posting the regular flat pocket that is standard with the GTB/S injected car.
I would be curious to see the pockets of US carbureted from 78 and 79 as mentionned.

Sebino81 question was for early fiberglass car before or after Furanku's 19169 which is the last fibreglass car we have with the pocket of post#2.

How fascinating! Thanks for posting the image.

I have never seen this pocket on any vetroresina 308, Australian or otherwise. A quick scan of the 1975 and 1976 parts books for the USA/Australian and RoW only shows the front of the seat, not the back however. My car, #19329 and 360Cs #21027 both carry their original upholstery too. Yet another variant it seems.

Sebino81 had seen a slight difference in the part catalogue in sept 76 with the appereance of a third part for the seat (the upholstery). Maybe that is the change for the back seat pocket.

There is only two F-chat owners in between your car (without) and Furanku's (with): Ossie and ivo73, maybe they will read this thread and tell us about...
All those cars are in the same couple of month of production, that is quite precise.

I have several other minor change to submit concerning very early fiberglass cars, I will open a thread when I will be a little bit more documented...
    Thanks all for your help.

I have never seen one with the folding cover. I will post a picture of mine from '79 a little later. It is just a pocket with no cover.

I don't have experience with the fiberglass cars.

Re steel cars I have seen the following on the passenger seat backs:

Carb open cars -- stretch pocket.
Injected open cars -- flap pocket.
    Closed cars -- no pocket.
