OK, we have the Brazilian Grand Prix at FoCNJ on Sunday 10/24.

That leaves a free Saturday. Perhaps a morning run up the palisades to bear mountain to enjoy the leaves????

Tell me you don't love the sights & sounds of a Ferrari skimming along the twisting roads lined with autumn shades while brightly colored leaves well and ebb in the wake of the car???

Ha! I spoke to the former PR guy at Panoz this morning. Do they still make those things?

I was looking at the map yesterday.

I'd say why not? A run up the palisades pkwy & through bear mountain.

Eric, you know the area. You in? You can lead the way in a porsche :)

Eric huh? I don't know, he was seen shortly after the detailing session in a dark shadowy corner removing his EC sticker, hasn't been seen since....

This is what happens when you miss one weekend with the EC huh?! Detailing session? Did someone forget the warm coffee and fresh donuts that were delivered to Times Square at some ungodly hour on a Saturday morning not long ago? How soon we forget... ;-)

Anyway, I wish i could have joined you guys out East (especially for the drive back), but I have to thank Clyde for his Apple Picking idea...I took the family up to Warwick NY yesterday for some QT and we had a blast. Not at the orchard or in the town of Warwick itself, but on the roads getting up there. It was absolutely beautiful to drive on those awesome windy mountain roads with the foliage in full effect (mind you, I was driving my Land Rover as well). These roads would be the perfect backdrop for an EARLY drive with the EC, but we have to go early. Maskars orchard seems to draw an interesting crowd of folks (campers with BBQ's, city kids running around throwing apples, and the like). Hence the roads up there may get a little congested if we don't go early.

Anyway, as for Saturday I am in...but I will have to break off at some point to attend a 1 year old's B-day party at 10-10:30am or so (not my first choice of venue for a Sat morning, but I am a Dad afterall). Let me know who wants to join for an early risers run to see some incredible foliage and let our cars enjoy the crisp mountain air. Oh and thanks again Clyde for making my Sunday with the family so enjoyable!

And to all those who scorned my idea thpppptttttttt :D

Yep, I'm up for an early on Saturday. Plan a route, Eric (please). Lots of good roads up warwick, tuxedo, bear mountain :)

Wld love to join you Clyde, but alas Im already taking a group of Supras on a run to Quakertown this Saturday.

One of my favorite run routes is out Rt 650 over the Milford Bridge into PA to a nice family restaurant. Done it several time with the Supras, and I think you guys wld enjoy it... Id be happy to lead the way in early November if anyone expresses interest (the ones who DO JERSEY that is). :)

Me too. But I suspect Pa is too far West for those staunch NYorkers, but not far enough west for those Weak Coaster wannabes :)

We'll have to stick to Bear mountain.

    anybody have any preferred routes?
    I still suggest 8:00am 1st Gas-n-go on Pal. Pkwy

I say 7:45am with a launch time of 8am for the run (this coming from someone who needs sleep!). I am up to my ears this week in travel and work, but I will chime in to make suggestions. As for planning the route, Clyde you may be the better candidate for that duty. I CAN say that 17a and 7 lakes drive is beautiful up in the Warwick area. We can also tap into 6speedonline to see if they have any good route that they've taken through Bear Mountain recently. Not to copy of course, but to take "suggestions". ;-)

As the weather is getting colder and there may not be as many desirable days to drive I look foward to any opportunity there is to go on a drive.

Beware Tuxedo as there are many speed traps there and every car there has a radar gun.

OK, cross off Tuxedo of the list of towns to visit.

    Any other words of wisdom?
