I think we'll have two meeting points. One in NYC and one over the bridge at the first gas station on the Palisades. That way us NJ folks don't have to drive in and out in order to meet up. With the size of this group, we may have to meet in Englewood Cliffs off of exit 1 on the Palisades, but we'll cross that bridge on Saturday evening at last count. Ok, I better run and catch up with the family before my wife starts buying everything in sight as a way to get back at me for being on this computer during family time. ;-)

 

If easier to coordinate Eric, happy to have the guys in New York and those coming from the East meet at my place, after which we can head to the Gas Station over the Bridge.

 

Good idea Vik. Let's try to have the entire group together by 8am though...that way we can get a good start and enjoy the day. I mentioned the first exit on the Palisades because with 15+ cars, we will not only draw a good deal of attention at the gas station (not necessarily a good thing), but we'll also have limited area to congregate. Directly off of exit 1 is a Bank and Restaurant parking lot that may serve as a better staging area. Let me know what you think. It's VERY easy to find. From there we can jump back on the Palisades or even cruise up 9w for a while to mix it up a bit.

Take it easy on us Boxsters, Eric. I am happy to see another Boxster coming for the ride.

 

Just got in from a day out with the family. So here is where we stand at this point. The NYC & LI group can either come straight out to NJ and meet us in Englewood Cliffs or go to Vik's place and roll out together. The goal here to to have us all together by 8am so we can get going and not wait around. With the number of cars we have here, I think the best plan is to meet right off of Exit 1 on the Palisades Pkwy. Once you come off the exit you are on Palisades Ave and about 150 yards ahead is a parking lot on your left for the Assembly Steakhouse and a Bank. That will be an excellent spacious spot to congregate before heading up to Bear Mountain. Otherwise we may have too much congestion and attention at the gas station. Here is the address of the parking lot. You can pull it up quickly on Yahoo maps and you'll also see that it's just past our usual meeting spot on the parkway. It's easy and probably the best way to go.
