Ride down the mountain and on to lunch....if we can find the diner with Robbi leading. Nope. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
arrived in Piermont. We went looking for lunch, Robbi went looking for trouble, and Lupe went looking peace. Hey, maybe that's why he's a peace officer? Found the Irish pub. They put us all together on one table: NSX, Kowasaki, Ferrari, Porsche, Viper Except....................... Great pics Clyde. The photos after a run always make me smile ear to ear and bring back the great feelings and sights that we had that day. Just awesome... That is a great pic of us walking to the Pub...makes we think of the guys in SWINGERS! ;-)
Then it was back to pick up the cars, make sure the old man in the white pickup wasn't there to rough-up Robbie and then the drive home. Rob was so shaken, he wore his crash helmet all the way home. We talked him out of wearing his track suit...that would have been overkill. After all, can a white pickup take a Vette flat-out??? I don't think so. We were sent off to another table simply because we were named "Mikes", all I want to know is "Why can't we just all get along"........
Just got to a broadband connection here in stormy London and got to catch up on all the great pictures of the foliage run. Sorry I had to break away on top of the mountain as I had a flight to catch. The run was awesome, awesome, awsone!. Just after we pulled onto the Palisades Parkway there is a mileage marker indicating 26 miles to Bear Mountain...I believe the run to the Bear Mountain exit took just about 15 minutes (it was an eternity for my wife Sandy and when we got there I had to pry her right hand off the right armrest grab-bar!.It was still imprinted on her hand an hour later.) Do the math and the average speed was a nice round you know what 3-digit number....and I was just bringing up the rear. Great to see you guys and I lament that winter is so close so this might be the last run for a while. And how about that guy comes up in a school bus in the steak house parking lot telling us all about how he worked with Luigi Chinetti in the 50's..wierd stuff!.
Glad to hear from you, Vinny. We were hoping your wife didn't insist you sell the car after that nice drive. I think most Ferrari owners have imprints on their dashes/door handles. Comes with the territory. Though, can we expect her on any more drives? Enjoy you stay in England. Check out the pubs & Ferrari there too & drop a line when you get back. I'm sure we'll squeeze one or two more outings before the snows.
Hey Clyde nice pictures as always , vinny that was nice of you to come out with us on the run . I know how those marks scratches prints ec look on your car my girl friend feels the same way. hope to see you and your better half soon. it was nice be safe.
