    I started a poll on the Rosa forum regarding getting spell check. Well, the vote was in favor of same, but during the course of the discussion, one of the moderators (I'm not naming names) told me to go to google and search for iespell. Well, I did, and came back with the spell checker that works with internet explorer, on the right click side. No more excuse for poor spelling.

    Ryan was that you ? What about the letter from Art, for a law school recommendation ? Art no bruised ego ? Of course not you are an abogado.


    Who needs spell check ? I use a dictionary when seven (7)+ letter words come up. I have a hard time spelling cat. - Just like a mechanic. I was educated in the South !!!!

    No Ralph it was not me. I don't use a spell checker, and I seldom post in Rossa/Silver. Secondly, Art has not given me any letters and it would be inappropriate to ask him. I have gotten my letters from Professors who teach at Boalt. I feel Art does not know me well enough personally, academically, or from a business perspective, thus it would be a waste for Art to take the time to write a letter for someone he doesn't know.

    Hope that clears it up.

    Phueie on IE ... I do my best NOT to use IE. I use Firefox 1.0 as my web browser - it's sooooo cool. Now, not to be out done, here is a spell checker for Firefox ... http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/index.html.

    Use it when you are posting - works GREAT!

    BTW, I'm using Firefox on a Windows XP system.

    Whenever i need to spell a word, i just spell it... i don't need spellcheck... If that sounds a bit snobby, it's probably because it is... :) i'm very proud of my special ed high school diploma...

    My spelling really sucks, but most of the time it's carrless use of the keyboard. Besides..my fingers are too fat to hit all the right keys!

    Started there in 64 at age 19, didn't finish there. Dumb bast@rds let me in, just because I got a perfect LSAT score. Got out of law school, some 2 schools later, at the age of 27. He doesn't want a letter from me, would guarantee him not being admitted. I bet some of them still remember the grief I caused.

    When you are posting text, select the text (or body) and then right-click on the selected area. If Spellbound is installed correctly, you will see "abc spell check" in the menu ... select it and a spell check will occur on the selected text. Also, one can customize the toolbar (just below the standard menus) by right-clicking next to "Help" and select "Customize". If Spellbound is installed correctly, you could drag the "abc" icon to the standard toolbar ... good luck.
