Wow. I'd hate to be this guy! http://www.jalopnik.com/cars/retro/irs-seizes-mans-1967-ferrari-330-p4-for-back-taxes-033350.php
Apparently this car comes up for sale every few years via the government because the owner's a bit eccentric and refuses to pay his taxes-- he always comes at the very last second with a cashiers check though, so chances are, the car isn't going anywhere.
Hmm, Im surprised the gov't wld offer such an alternative. I figure Uncle Sam didnt play around... once it was seized... it was gone.
Are you sure about this? I had read a similar circumstance where the IRS turned over a case they were working on to the "criminal investigation division" b/c the bad guy was proven to be intending to defraud the gov't and they took everything and he went to jail...I didn't think the guy could just bail himself out at the last minute whether he has $ or not.
Second round coming up for both of you from yesterday, have to edit them down (6.3megapixels), but stay tuned.
