It would be sold with the steering wheel if we had it

    Mr. Regular Guy,
Fairly clear, 1 MILLION as per 1st post. Read twice, answer once.

    Mr. Ragtop,

I think that is a very straight forward and plausible explanation, and if you do not like it,
    please show some respect.

The gentleman is selling a GTO steering wheel, it is his, and has the God given right to request whatever he feels. No need to be wry or ironic.

After all, the most valuable painting in the world was once sold for $60 (sixty dollars).
    Then, for $420 Million. Observations?

    Regards, Alberto

    Dear Alberto,
With all due respect, I did not reply to Arnaud's explanation... "It would be sold with the steering wheel if we had the button." I accepted his answer. However, I am suspect of a new member's 1st post selling an item for $1million Euro. Just looking out for the community. I think the present owner of the car should be contacted and offered the first right of refusal.

More fitting question.... under what "circumstances" was the steering wheel "acquired".............

The story has been already told and is somewhere in the thread. My father has been in the business for 50 + years and has known the last owner (a mechanic) of the steering wheel for a very long time. When his health started to decline he sold his private collection. He’s now in an old folks home with a serious condition..

If the car is worth $60m then the asking price of the original steering wheel is less than 3% of the value of the car.

This is a rare piece of Ferrari memorabilia and a truly interested buyer will recognize its value.
