    Especially since most models can be bought for MUCH less than what some of the sponsers sell for...

    That is what I suggest a Sticky, not sure but can we make it a subscribed thread and only subscribed members can access. That would encourage some users to subscribe. Doesn't need to be anything fancy at all... I can not imagine this would hurt sponsers at all. Most models for sale or trade would be older stuff anyway. Even put a limit on the amount of models you can list per week or month to further discourage someone from subscribing just to list a 100 models for sale.. The sponsers would be able to access this feature also, maybe have a special for the week for Fchat guys only or something..That promotes their business as well..

    thats a very good suggestion,i think there should no problem,and sponers might benefit
    from this thread.and as you said there would all older models to trade/sell.
    i hope this goes ahead,i know im on the other side of the big pond,but i would be willing trade/sell
    and give it my full support.

    I think the sub-forum is coming, it just isn't coming right now. I agree that it wouldn't/shouldn't take much work... I wonder if Rob has seen this thread...

    Or we could just send the 2 links about this to him and ask him to keep any eye on the matter.
    It would be very nice for us to have a trade/sales section for diecast.

    The reason I can't do quickly is because it will take more than a thread. Right now priorities are 2007 taxes, Mod reorg, and a new Owner's Forum. What I will eventually implement is something along the lines of www.ferrariads.com within the forum. It will be for subscribers only, although non subscribers can view other ads/trades. It is a bigger project than just the Collectibles section, I want to do regional classified ads too.

    Personally I'd prefer a sub forum where subscribed members could post threads with tags (ex: [For Sale], [WTB], [For Trade]) and then just throw a moderator in there rather than the ferrariads setup. But I guess something is better than nothing.

    I love the idea of the For Sale, For Trade & Want to Buy section. Sponsors should not be limited though. They are paying out to much to have a limit set for them. And because 285ferrari started this thread, I give him my nomination for the MODERATOR role.

    I definately agree that it should have a limit on how many items the person is allowed to post in the section as well. Lets help Rob come up with some Guidelines/Rules. Feel free to update or change the following -

    To Post ITEMS FOR SALE
    1. Items must be Posted in Designated Thread.
    2. Item must be sold to post another item For Sale.
    3. No more than say 10-20 Items in a month or 30 day period.
    4. No more than 1 Item For Sale per Post.
    5. Must be a Subscribed member.
    6. Able to post eBay link if item is for sale on eBay.
    7. Items cannot be in the ITEMS FOR TRADE Section.
    8. Do Not post a REPLY if you are not interested in the ITEM FOR SALE.
    9. Once item has been sold, Contact the Moderator. Thread should then be removed by Moderator.
    10. If item has not sold in the 30 days, Contact the Moderator. Thread should then be removed by Moderator.

    To Post ITEMS FOR TRADE
    1. Item must be posted in Designated Thread.
    2. Item does not need to have been TRADED to post another item. But, can not have more than 3 ITEMS FOR TRADE Posted.
    3. Item limit set to no more than 10-20 Items in a month or 30 day period.

    6. Items cannot be in the ITEMS FOR SALE Section.

    (SAMPLE: Kyosho F40 Street Version Wanted. Must be in Mint Condition. Please Reply to This Post if you have 1 FOR SALE)
    3. Item limit set to no more than 10-20 Items in a month or 30 day period.
    4. No More than 1 Item For Trade per Post.
    5. Does not Need to be a Subscribed Member
    6. Items cannot be in the ITEMS FOR SALE Section.
    7. Do Not post a REPLY if you do not have the item WANTED TO BUY.
    7. Once item has been bought, Contact the Moderator. Thread should then be removed by Moderator.
    8. If item has not sold in the 30 days, Contact the Moderator. Thread should then be removed by Moderator.

    In addition to all that there must be some sort of dispute resolution in place, as well as a feedback system in place...
